Meet the AgentPro 5-a-side Football Team
The waiting is finally over. At 8am on Sunday the whistle will sound and our 12 hour 5-a-side charity football tournament will get underway.
The tournament is taking place alongside a family fun day, which aims to raise money for disabled children’s charity, Y Bont, based in Bridgend.
After weeks of anticipation, this morning saw the announcement of the team name and who will be representing AgentPro at the tournament.
The team will be known as The Cobras and will be captained by Zac Lloyd, a keen footballer who plays both Saturday and Sunday league football. And the team Zac is leading is definitely a trophy contender. The squad includes:
- Josh Hiscocks
- Josh Cunningham
- Aled-Wyn John
- Daniel Griffiths
- Brian Gammon
When asked his thoughts on the tournament, Zac had the following to say:
“It’s going to be a brilliant tournament for a brilliant cause. That will make the day even more enjoyable, knowing we’re doing something to help Y Bont and all the great work that they do.
It’s obviously all for a good cause but we’re definitely looking to contest for that trophy. We’ll be going with the classic 1-1-1-1-1 5-a-side attacking formation, so our opposition can expect some fast, one touch football – just like the Spanish. Although, if we play anything like the Spanish national team have been playing recently, we’re in for a long day!”
Zac’s enthusiasm is shared by the rest of the team - everyone is looking forward to raising money for a great cause and having a bit of fun at the same time.
However, although the tournament will be friendly, the teams will all have the AgentPro trophy in the back of their minds. Zac had the following message to send to all of the other teams taking part:
“Make sure you bring your bibs, because it’s going to get messy.”
The tournament will undoubtedly be a great spectacle to watch, complemented by a fantastic family fun day with activities on offer for the entire family!
